Latest from FDOT on repair schedule for bridge

During the week of July 4, 2016 The Florida Department of Environmental Protection, in conjunction with the Florida Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration began the Knight’s Key Pedestrian Underpass project which is located at the parking lot located at the entrance of the Old Seven Mile Bridge. That project is almost complete.

In November 2017 FDOT is scheduled to begin bridge repair and rehabilitation work on the Old 7 Mile Bridge from Knight’s Key to Pigeon Key. The bridge will be shut down for approximately 1400 days or 4 years, while work is being completed.
